A Dear Old Friend Thinks I've Lost My Mind

This came out almost in poetic form. Imagine that!

hey alex, as much as i respect your point of view, i have to wonder why you spend so much time debating barely literate people on a belief of their own choosing. these people r the type who vote for parties, not ideas. these people r follow-the-leader types, who've never had a coherent thought in their lives. they have nothing to add to your life except perhaps entertainment value and very little of that. why bother with them. they won't learn, they don't even want to think.

It's about the ones who may be watching in the wings. The ones who may have never been exposed to the ideas. Fence sitters, and others.
The kid who may be sitting at home thinking papa's a jackass and his stuff doesn't add up, but it's all there is because it's all I've ever known.
And even the ones in the fray who may never have had to defend their BS because their BS has never been questioned. And what the hell is going on that people have questions!!
It's about the banality of evil.
And it's about those "barely literate people". They deserve the privilege of being shaken up now and then.
