Update on Lunatic With Loaded Shotgun
From the guy in this post: http://realitybyalex.blogspot.com/2013/07/patriotism-meanswhat-exactly.html
"Kokesh's attorney, Peter Cooper, said after the appearance in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia that his client is making a "political statement," but argued the government is doing the same thing.
"Kokesh's attorney, Peter Cooper, said after the appearance in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia that his client is making a "political statement," but argued the government is doing the same thing.
"Their allegation about danger, I believe, is unwarranted," Cooper said."
"In his now infamous
YouTube video, Kokesh states: "We will not be silent. We will not obey.
We will not allow our government to destroy our humanity."
Then, loading shells
into the shotgun, he looks into a camera, saying, "We are the final
American revolution. See you next Independence Day.""
You take from it what you will, but an angry guy with a loaded shotgun is a danger as far as I'm concerned, and he has no right to parade it in public. His intent was to let people know he could use it. Against his freely elected government. That's a threat of violence. That's not speech. It's terrorism. And it's nice to see the police using their powers for common sense, and the common good, for once.
