  Time and time again, we let the perpetrators of negligence handle the information, as if they have the proper sense of responsibility. Deepwater Horizon. Now Fukushima. Why do they get to determine who is allowed to film, report, and know? Why are the sites of these predictable disasters under their control?

  It's akin to allowing Ariel Castro control the site of his Cleveland home and let us know the story only through his filter even after his arrest.

  Well, they're "sorry". That's something, I guess.
