Bread and Circuses

I think Zimmerman stalked Trayvon, hunted him and killed him, because he thought he could. But I'm really pissed off at the attention these trials get. One guy got killed. Tragic. And unjust.
But while we're all fascinated by the shiny lights of this one famous case, corporations are poisoning the planet, stealing the wealth of our future, buying our government like a cheap whore, making the Constitution a worthless piece of scrap paper, and killing MILLIONS. We're never going to be able to do a damn thing about any of it, because we can't keep our eye on the ball.
And that's not an accident. "Stand your ground" laws aren't about your rights to own a gun. They're about gun manufacturers right to SELL you guns. And the more they keep you frightened of your fellow citizens and neighbors, the more guns they sell. And the media isn't there to tell you what's going on. They're there to push product.
  And don't you forget it.
