NRA and ROCU: Fight the Power!

I already did my piece about the evils of the NRA.  But there is one nascent organization that is fighting back for F&B employee rights.
The Restaurant Opportunities Centers United is starting out in larger cities working hand in hand with restaurants, workers, and diners to bring information to the fore. They are showing some success, but unlikely to have much impact in our little corner of Ohio. Yet.

My understanding is most of the impetus for starting the group came from Saru Jayaraman, the author of Behind the Kitchen Door. Books are a bit of an unaffordable luxury for me right now (not a hint. Not really, but...) so I haven't read it, but I've seen a few of her interviews. Get the book. Support the work. Fight the NRA (evil bastards).
